After running several Splash programs that drew over 100 participants, student volunteers at Splash at Yale offered a new program this summer.
“Splash at Yale is very excited about expanding its offerings and providing more opportunities for high school and middle school students from around the Northeast. Over the past two years we’ve been running our Splash program every semester and every time there is increased enthusiasm from students, teachers, parents, and our own administrative team. After talking with all our participants at our last Splash program, we decided that a multi-week summer program would not only be very popular but also the next step in furthering our mission of student-driven education,” said Ben Horowitz, Splash at Yale co-founder.
Sprout was supported by 50+ teachers and volunteers along with ongoing mentoring and software support provided by Learning Unlimited.
“I cannot tell you how excited my son was to attend every week. He had previously attended Splash at Yale and was extremely eager to attend Sprout. He learned a lot and he had a great time. As a parent of two children, I have to tell you that this was one of the most well-run programs and affordable programs either of my children ever attended. Thank you for putting so much time and care into planning such a wonderful learning experience,” a Sprout parent wrote on a survey.
