LU CEO Daniel Zaharopol Featured in New York Times

Last week, the Times featured a residential mathematics program that Zaharopol ran for the Art of Problem Solving Foundation. The article, which was featured on the newspaper's online homepage, has received over 120 comments so far.

"The response has been tremendous," Zaharopol said. "I have had many individuals reach out to me to ask how they can help support the learning communities that programs like this create."

University of Chicago Chapter Receives Full Funding from Foundation

Splash at the University of Chicago was one of four student-led activities at UChicago to receive funding from the University of Chicago Women's Board. The foundation, which gave over $400,000 to the University in the 2010-2011 year, fully funded Splash at the University of Chicago's proposal and will help students across the midwest attend a Splash enrichment program.

Over 800 students from across the city of Chicago and from as far away as Minneapolis and St. Louis signed up for the free program last October.
